Josephine P. McHale

Josephine P. McHale, 86, Hibbing, MN, died Tues., Dec. 10, 2013 with her children by her side, in her home.  She was born in Leetonia, MN on March 17, 1927, the daughter of John and Louise Starcevich.  She married Paul McHale in 1955 in Hibbing, where they made their home.  They enjoyed 39 years of marriage until Paul’s death in 1994.  Josephine dedicated her life to the family she loved and to the St. Leo’s and Blessed Sacrament Churches that she belonged to and volunteered for.  In her free time Josephine loved to play bridge.
She is survived by her children: John (Jackie) McHale of Hibbing, Kevin (Lynn) McHale of Minneapolis, Patricia (Greg) Fetter of Eden Prairie, MN and Mary (Brady) Bizal of Minnetonka, MN, a sister Antonia Ginn of Wayne, NE, her grandchildren Sarah, Paul, Elisabeth, Kristyn, Michael, Joseph, Thomas, Heather, Erin, Austin, Grace and Olivia and her great grandchildren; Samantha, Molly, Audrey, Kai, Charlie, Annabella and Sophia.  She was preceded in death by her sisters; Mary Starcevich and Anne Sandor, her granddaughter Sasha and a great granddaughter Emmeline.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.  The Rev. Gabriel Waweru will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be in the church, Friday from 10 AM until the 11:30 AM funeral Mass.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Pallbearers are her grandchildren, Michael, Joseph, Thomas, and  Paul McHale, Austin Bizal and her nephew Michael Sandor.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Memorials may be made to North Star Hospice, 1101 E. 37th St., Hibbing or the Blessed Sacrament Church, 7th Ave. E. & 24th St, Hibbing.
