Judy Selvo

Judy Kilen Selvo, 74, Hibbing, died peacefully Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born on January 5, 1941, to Cole and Rose (Sabin) Kilen in Greenbush, Minnesota.  She moved from Gary, Indiana, to Hibbing in 1956, and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1958. Judy married the love of her life, Andy, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in 1961. They recently celebrated their 54 ^th wedding anniversary.

Judy is survived by her husband, Andy; daughters Gina (David) Mickelson, Carolyn (Tony) Carpenter, Susan (Brent) Eilefson; grandchildren Emily, Kilen, Claire, Katie, Andrew, Max, and Henry; her brother Richard (Kathy) Kilen; uncle Bill (Helen) Sabin, aunt Helen (Art) Kilen, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver to many. Judy loved her bridge, book, and domino clubs, visiting with her friends, taking road trips with her husband, and spending time at the family cabin. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildrens' many activities, and they will certainly miss their number one fan.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph Kilen; mother and father-in-law, Andrew and Louise Selvo, and numerous loved ones.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing, from 9:30 AM until the 11 AM funeral Mass. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
