Justine “Jay” Jackson, 94, lifetime Hibbing resident, passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012, at Heritage Manor in Chisholm.  She was born June 25, 1918, to Lathen and Gertrude (Krueger) Vincent in Mellen, WI and was raised in Hibbing, MN.  Justine was a 1936 graduate of Hibbing High School.  On July 11, 1937, she married Howard Elwood Jackson.  Justine was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had been a former Sunday School and release time teacher, choir member and a Bible study group member.
She had been employed at Herberger’s, Shop Rite Market, and Walken’s Jewelery Store.  Justine loved to bake, cook, and entertain.  Her interests were in crafts, aerobics, dancing, hiking, picnics, coffee parties, and visiting with family and friends.
She was a caring person and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters:  Roberta (Thomas) Bispala of Germantown, WI and Diane (Richard) Berganini of Fridley, MN; a son-in-law, Richard Paolo of Hibbing; eight grandchildren:  Jaren (Tami) Bispala of Woodbury, MN, Deven (Jeremy) Noteboom of Longmont, CO, Michael (Linda) Berganini of Cedar, MN, Steven Berganini of St. Croix Falls, WI, Daniel Berganini of Fridley, MN, Michelle (Edward) Chamernick of Chisholm, MN, Brenda (Jay) Kintner of Hibbing, Brian (Misti) Giffin of Traverse City, MI; nieces and nephews:  Paulette (Larry) Gustin of Hibbing, Susan Hansen of Aurora, CO, Leonard (Nancy) Kiskis of Minnetonka, MN, JoAnne (Richard Stockton) Riccelli of Minneapolis, and Stephanie (Richard) Murrer of Hibbing; numerous great-grandchildren, grand nieces and grand nephews; and a  sister-in-law, Louisa (William) Huffer of Arizona.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1977; a daughter, Jennifer Paolo, in 2002; her parents; two sisters:  Elaine (John) Riccelli and Aurore (Paul) Kiskis; and a foster brother, Louis Vincent.
Visitation will be Saturday November 17, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church, Hibbing, from 1—2 PM .  Memorial service will be 2 PM Saturday November 17, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church.  The Rev. Tim Yearyean will officiate.  Interment will be held privately at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  To sign the online guest register, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
