Katherine (Katie) died Fri., June 15 in Zimmerman, MN. She was born Feb 15th, 1920 in Hibbing to Eva and George Maras. She was a loving sister to seven siblings, brothers Tony, John, Matt and Jerry Maras and sisters Mary Jerkovich, Annie Corbin and Dorothy Anderson.
Katherine married James Joseph Lamson, 1939 and was devoted to her family. She worked at Mary’s Café and then as a custodian at Cobb Cook Elementary until her retirement.
Katherine is survived by 3 children Georgine(Lee) Deshaw, Seattle WA, Joseph Lamson, Monticello MN, and Kathleen(Edward) Paetznick, Zimmerman MN, 10 grand-children, 12 great grand-children, numerous nieces and nephews and many other cherished relatives.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parent’s, siblings and husband.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Parish, Hibbing, MN with visitation starting at 10. h. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
