Kathleen P. Lindstrom

Kathleen P. Lindstrom, 78, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at home with family by her side.  She was born on September 15, 1937 to Clarence and Lucy (Roberts) Lilya in Sudan, MN.  She was a graduate of Chisholm High School.  After high school, Kathy completed a two year program in beautician school.  Kathy enjoyed shopping, spending time at the cabin, landscaping her yard, decorating the house, playing cards, and especially spending time with her family.  She really took pride in her yard and home.

She is survived by her children: Tom (Kelle) Lindstrom, Hibbing, Todd (Tara) Lindstrom, Hibbing, Scott (Kris) Lindstrom, Hibbing, and David (Nicole) Lindstrom, Rosemount, MN; her brother, Bob (Judy) Lilya, Spring Lake Park, MN; sister, Joann (Gerald) Fiori, Hibbing; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Pierskalla; husband, Gene Lindstrom in 2009; sister, Barbara Jukich Ranta; and her parents, Clarence and Lucy (Roberts) Lilya.

Per Kathy’s request there will be a private gathering of family at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.  Private graveside services will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Pallbearers are; Brett Lindstrom, Gunnar Lindstrom, Jack Lindstrom, Drew Lindstrom, Andy Pierskalla, and Adam Pierskalla.  The Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru will officiate.
