Born and raised in Hibbing.
Married Karen Lindall in 1962.
Keith was employed by Custom Tool in Minneapolis. The family returned to Hibbing in 1965 where Keith taught 9th grade civics at Chisholm High School. Then Keith went to work at Hib-Tac. He later retired from Newcon Company (Hibbing) as their shop foreman.
Keith was a member of the Hibbing Gun Club. He enjoyed target and silhouette shooting and participated in many competitive matches across the United States.
Keith is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Karen, daughter Kim (John) Hubertus, grandson Kenny John Hubertus, brother Gary (Pam) Johnson, mother Virgil Mary Johnson, granddaughter Vickie Cholich, favorite uncle and aunt Ken and Edith Trembath, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his family, Keith loved his dogs and leaves behind Jill and Samantha
Keith was preceded in death by his son Kris Michael Johnson, father Reino Michael Johnson, and infant sister Dawn Marie Johnson.
There will be a friends and family memorial gathering at a later date.
