Kenneth W. Hill, 75, Kelly Lake, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Duluth.  He was born in Chisholm MN, to Wayne and Ellen Hill on May 22, 1939, and was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy.  He had been employed with National Steel retiring as an electrician.  Ken enjoyed gardening including all his tomato plants, his time at the lake and in Arizona.
He is survived by his children, Mike (Gina) Hill, Hibbing, Shelly Packard, Monticello, MN, and Cheryl Thronson, Hibbing; two brothers, Gene (Pam) Hill, Cherry, and Gregg Hill in Makinen; 5 grandchildren: Mandi Packard, Big Lake, MN, Brian (Nicole) Packard, Hanover, MN, Cayman, Aspen, and Harlie Ann Hill, all of Hibbing; 5 great grandchildren: Brian Maxwell Packard, Isaac Becklund, Isaiah Becklund, Preston Becklund, Alana Becklund, and one on the way; also his beloved dog, Mickey. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy C. Hill on December 7, 2013, and his parents Wayne and Ellen Hill.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm. Saturday, June 28, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Breitbarth officiating.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.  Burial for Nancy and Ken will be Saturday in Maple Hill Cemetery.
