Kenneth Daniel Nault, 88, beloved husband and father, Side Lake, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at Hillcrest Parkside in Hibbing.  He was born in Ishpeming, MI on August 21, 1924, to Louis and Eva Nault.  He graduated in 1942 from Ishpeming High School and entered the military in 1943, serving in the European Theater.  Ken attained the rank of Technical Sergeant in the 413th Infantry Company F.  He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.  After his discharge in 1945, Ken attended Michigan Tech University and married Blanche Gatien of Ishpeming.  He worked as a mechanical engineer for C.C.I.  in Ishpeming before moving to Hibbing in 1964 and taking a job with Eveleth Taconite Company.  He retired from his position there as General Maintenance Superintendant in 1985.  Ken enjoyed his retirement at the home he built on Little Sturgeon.  He enjoyed traveling, working in his garage, relaxing at the lake, and spending time with Blanche and his family.  His family is appreciative of the kindness and caring of the Parkside staff.  Ken was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Chisholm American Legion.
He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche Nault; by seven children:  Marlene (Tom) Theisen of Shakopee, MN, Gary (Cathy) Nault of Nisswa, MN, David (Ann) Nault of Hibbing, Greg (Ruth) Nault of Lino Lakes, MN, Mary Ann (Rob) Kepler of Hibbing, Annette (Doug) Johnson of Savage, MN, and Patrick (Melissa) Nault of Carver, MN; 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Art, Louis and Gerald Nault; and sisters Frances Cudahy, Lena Bamford, Gertrude Sullivan, Loretta Brown, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012, from 1--2 PM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2012, in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, at a later date.
