Kenneth L. Rabbers, 67, Hibbing, died Monday June 3, 2013, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN surrounded by his family.  He was born in Iowa on February 23, 1946, to George and Arlene Rabbers.  Ken served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was the owner/operator of Ken’s Range Satellite for many years.  He was a member of VFW Post 8510 of Hibbing, the Knights of Columbus, the Hibbing Elks Club, the Algonquin Club, and local bowling leagues.  Ken’s hobbies were bowling, racing his stock car, and golfing.  He enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by four children:  Justin Rabbers of Fridley, Shay Rabbers of Hibbing, Cathy (Darrel) Branstner of Nashwauk, and Kenneth Grell of Hibbing; nine siblings: Barb (Denny) Dean, Hibbing, Terri (Greg) Hodson, Idaho Falls, ID, Jan (Jim) Maki, Grand Rapids, MN, Sally Rabbers, Hibbing, Kevin (Tandy) Rabbers, Shakopee, MN,  John (Yong) Rabbers, LaMesa, CA, Robert Rabbers, Brookston, MN, Linda (Katie) Lind, TX  and Kathy Korth, Hibbing; 3 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Stephen J. Rabbers on May 17, 2013.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, from 5 to 7 PM.  Visitation will continue on Friday, June 7, 2013, at Hibbing Alliance Church from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, with full military honors accorded by members of the VFW Post 8510 Color Guard.
