Kristopher R. Spotts, 28, Watertown, SD, formerly of Hibbing, MN, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 in Watertown.  He was born July 18, 1989 in Hibbing to Kelly Garmaker and Sam Spotts.    While in high school Kris was an avid football fan and player.  He had worked for Morton Buildings in Minnesota before transferring to South Dakota.  He had also worked as a framer for various construction companies and spent time in the south, mainly in Texas, working as an ironworker.  In his free time he would restore cars and he loved being around children, especially those with handicaps.

He is survived by his son Karson Spotts of Grand Rapids, MN, his mother Kelly Meyers Garmaker of Taconite, MN, his father Samuel Spotts of Side Lake, MN, his fiance’ Jessica Roberts and her three children of Watertown, 5 siblings: Bou Meyers of Shakopee, MN, Samantha (Maurice) Chessmore of Omaha, NE, Ricki (Zach) Boyle of Brookings, SD, Ronald Hines of Bemidji, MN and Harly Hines of Cohasset, MN, and paternal grandparents Barbara and Gerald Spotts of Side Lake.  He was preceded in death by a sister Holly Meyers, a step sister  Erin Matthews and his maternal grandparents Martin and Phyllis Garmaker.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, April 15, 218 in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 12:30 until service time.
