Laura Lee Carlson, 64, longtime Hibbing resident, died Friday, October 24, 2014 at home surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born to Joseph and Margaret (Tousignant) Veneziano in Hibbing on March 21, 1950. Laura and John Carlson were married on December 2, 1972 in Hibbing. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, helping others, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very devoted to her family and was a selfless person.
Laura will be missed by her husband, John, two children, Peter (Rosa) Carlson, San Diego, CA, and Jennifer Carlson, New York, NY, siblings, Joseph (Brenda) Veneziano, in Montana, Pat (Patty) Veneziano, in Iowa, and Michael Veneziano, Hibbing, her grandson, Michael Anze Carlson, Godmother Fio Ricci, and Amazon Parrot, Bo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held 7:00 pm. Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 5:00 pm.
