Laura Dawn (Groskreutz) Lopez

Laura D. Lopez, 43, Hibbing (formerly of Leander, Texas) passed away
from a battle with breast cancer on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at her home. She
was born October 19, 1978 in Tulsa, OK. Laura grew up all over the country and
graduated from high school in Kansas. She had the opportunity to live in almost
every US state and spent four years in Australia. Laura specialized as an
audiologist with Starkey then later served as a medical administrator for Family
Hospital Systems in Texas. She married Damon Lopez on June 12, 2019 in
Aspen, CO.
Laura spent her life filled with humor, food, countless amounts of elephant
figurines and adventure at every turn. She loved to entertain friends and family
and would never allow anyone to be hungry in her presence (#snacktower). Laura
is survived by her husband Damon, parents Drew and Tami Watts, daughter
Sierra, siblings Tara, Dan, Reka, Jamie and an endless volume of best friends.
Funeral services for Laura will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at
the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. Hospice Chaplain Jeffrey Jones will
officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral
home. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
