LaVonne Pauline Klobuchar
LaVonne Pauline Klobuchar, 80, Hibbing, passed away at Aspen Grove Assisted Living on Wednesday January 4, 2017. She was born in Chokio, MN to Kenneth and Pauline (Leudhard) Tibbetts on March 20, 1936 and was united in marriage to George “Kayo” Klobuchar in Hibbing in 1955. LaVonne was employed by the Hibbing General Hospital as a nurse’s aide for many years. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s sporting events, especially hockey; playing games with her friends, good food, hard work and the Minnesota Twins. She loved her Aspen Grove family and the loving care given by Chuck and Brenda Gargano.
LaVonne is survived by her children, Sue Dekich, Grand Rapids, Pat (Cyndi) Klobuchar, and Lois (Derek) McClellan, both of Hibbing, her sister, Charlotte Elling, Walker, MN, grandchildren Ryan (Andrea) Dekich, Mary Beth Polski, Molly (Andy) McCann, Jacob (Tracey) Klobuchar, Logan Klobuchar and Kaili (Brendan) Salo, great-grandchildren Brianna, Bryce and Mariah Dekich. She was preceded in death by her husband George “Kayo” and sisters, Barbara Boos and Donna Bonicatto.
Private family services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in the Dougherty Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to the Central Mesabi Medical Foundation of Hibbing or the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church
