Lawrence E. Minerich

Lawrence E. Minerich, 70, Hibbing, died Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 in the Heritage House living center in Pequot Lakes, MN.  He was born April 25, 1947 in Hibbing to Joseph and Beverly Minerich.  He grew up in the Kelly Lake neighborhood and loved to play hockey in his youth.  He was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War Era and then returned to Hibbing where he worked as a custodian for the Mesaba Community College.  He also had worked for A & M Construction in Hibbing and for Northern Door and Hardware.   Since his youth Lawrence loved cars.  During 15 years of his retirement he and his wife Charlotte spent their winters in Zephyrhills, FL

He is survived by his wife Charlotte, his stepson Steve (Myrna) Chouinard, Nashwauk, MN, his siblings: Dennis (Wanda) Minerich, Lorri (Tom) Frankson and Bonnie (Bill) Young all of Hibbing and Brian (Betsy) Minerich of Buck Lake, MN, 2 grandchildren, Jas and Jamie Chouinard and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson Marvin Chouinard.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 1, 2017 in the Dougherty Funeral Home.  The Rev. Douglas Workman will officiate.  Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
