Leonardo Leal Maure
Leonardo Leal Maure, 56, Hibbing, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at his home. He was born in Nuevitas Camaguey, Cuba on Dec. 28, 1955 to Eliccar and Margarita Maure. Leonardo had served in the Cuban Army prior to coming to America. He had worked as baker and later as an auto mechanic. He was a wonderful father to his children, who called him “the beast.” Leonardo’s family thanks all those who came to the house last Saturday to fulfill his wish of saying goodbye.
He is survived by his wife, Jody Maure of Hibbing; 5 daughters: Mercedes Patricia Maure of McKinley, MN, Janara Lynn Maure, Margarita Mariah Maure, Julia Ruth Maure and Carolina Christina Maure, all of Hibbing; a son, Leonardo Gaddy of Eden Prairie; Mercedes’ fiancée, Avery Walker of McKinley, MN; Margarita’s boyfriend, Anthony Ryan Lamblin, of Hibbing; his father and mother in law, Lamon Sr. and Betty Gaddy of Minneapolis; and many relatives in Cuba.
At Leonardo’s request, there will be no funeral service. Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
