Lisa M. Shea

Lisa M. Shea, 52, Pengilly, MN, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family.  She was born Nov. 5, 1965 in Hibbing, MN to Leo and Ruth Kinzel.  Lisa had graduated from UMD and had worked for National Steel until becoming the administrative assistant to the special education director for the Deer River School District 317.  She married Dan Shea in 1995 and together they raised their two sons.  Watching her children grow and chasing them around to the various baseball games they participated in were Lisa’s favorite things to do.  She also loved fishing in Canada with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Dan, sons: Pat and Nick Shea both in Pengilly, a sister Kathy Hilde of Hibbing and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat. Sept. 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Coleraine, MN.  Visitation will be in the church from 9 a.m. until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Memorials may be made to Fairview Range Home Care and Hospice, the Angel Fund or the Essentia Health Foundation HOPE Fund. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
