Llorien Gertrude “Tudie” Helmer 89, Buhl, formerly of Hibbing and Calumet, died Wednesday, December 23, 2015

ornerstone Villa in Buhl. She was born in Coleraine to Guy and Ellora (Varien) Baker on August 14, 1926. Tudie grew up in Coleraine
,
married Ambrose Helmer on April 7, 1945,
and
made her home in Calumet before moving to Hibbing in 2003. She had been employed with Wood Design in Bovey for 25 years retiring in 1989.
She is survived by her children, Korlyn (Ted) Gooder, Maplewood, MN

Shirley (Joseph) Legueri, Gilbert, MN
;
Gregory (Gail) Helmer, Florence, OR

her sisters, Marlyn Hagen, and Meredyth (John) Pappas, both of McMinneville, OR

18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose
,
in 2002

her parents
;
and siblings, Gerald Baker, Kayls Garrison, and Dorice Schouvillar.
After Tudi passed,
Tudi's grandson, John Tardy, summed up all our feelings about her with these words: "They just don't make people like her any more."
Private family services will be held 11:30 am. Monday December 28, 2015
at the Dougherty Funeral Home in Hibbing. MN.
