Lucille M. Tappero, 91, Hibbing, died Thursday March 29, 2012, at Guardian Angels Health Care Center, Hibbing.  She was born in Chisholm on November 23, 1920, to Gregor and Katarina Rosc.  Lucille graduated from Chisholm High School and was united in marriage to Julius Tappero on June 10, 1939 in Chisholm.  They made their home in Hibbing where Lucille was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
She is survived by three daughters:  Joan Frye of Hibbing, Jean (Dr. Wayne) Kulka of Cape Coral, FL, and Carol (George) Anderson of Wrenshall, MN; 9 grandchildren:  Gregory Furin, Geoffrey (Carrie) Furin, Jeannie (Craig) Seppala, Dede (Brett) Wiener, Geary Furin, George (Brenda) Anderson, Heather (John) Kuikka, Lesleigh (Damien) Baden, and Anthony Grey Kulka; 9 great-grandchildren:  Danielle, Allison, Breanna, Julianne, Jennifer, Madison, Mercedes, Wesley Jack, and Clara; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Julius, in 2001; by her parents, 10 siblings, and a son-in-law, Jack Frye.
At Lucille’s request, a private funeral Mass will be held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at a later date.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home.  To sign the guest register online, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
