Luella Mae James

Luella Mae James, 94, Hibbing, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2018 in the Guardian Angels Health Care Center in Hibbing.  She was born Nov. 4, 1923 in Cloquet, MN to Joseph and Florence Allen.  Luella was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and had worked for over 30 years at the Howard Lounge where she was the union representative for the staff.  In her free time she enjoyed curling, golfing and participating in the Hibbing bowling leagues.

She is survived by her children: Richard “Rick” James of Hibbing, Gregg (Laurie) James of Harris, MN, Debra (Thomas) Fisher of Hibbing and Suzanne (John) Wauzynski of Mt. Iron, MN, 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.  She was preceded by the father of her children Harry “Brad” James, her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a granddaughter Lori Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 28, in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9:30 until service time.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Assoc.
