            Lynn H. Minter, 91, longtime resident of Hibbing died on his birthday of September 24, 2023 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, MN.  He was born September 24, 1932 to George and Bern (Cobb) Minter in Hibbing.  Lynn attended Hibbing schools.  He then would proudly serve his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army from 1949-1951.  He married Alice M. Evensen on November 10, 1956.  They were married for 66 years.  Lynn was employed as a cement truck driver for 19 years with Mesaba Construction Co.  He enjoyed volunteering with the Greyhound Bus Museum in Hibbing. Lynn was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing.  His favorite pastimes were camping, working with wood, and really enjoyed going on 4-wheeler rides.   

            He is survived by his wife Alice Minter, Hibbing, children, Joel (Cheryl) Minter, Hibbing, Jeff Minter, Balkan, MN, and Cheryl Ruiz, Hibbing, four siblings, Joan Williams, International Falls, MN, Jane Drynan, Port Orange, FL, Dean (Edda) Minter, Okaboji, IA, and John (Susan) Minter, Chisholm, MN, seven grandchildren, Jesse, Heather, Christopher, Grace, Beverly, Richie, and Lyndsay, seven great-grandchildren, Simon, Milo, Sage, Hunter, Lauren, D.J., and Jackson, along with numerous nieces and nephews. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Alex Ruiz, sister, Dale Johnson, and daughter-in-law, Rita Minter.

            Funeral services for Lynn will be 12:00 pm, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Katie Larson will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
