Madonna Ann (Nehiba) Danich

Madonna Ann Danich, 86, died peacefully in her home on December 17, 2014; the same home where she was born on April 26, 1928, and lived her entire life.

Madonna was one of seven children born to John and Margaret (Thill) Nehiba.  She went to the Assumption Catholic School, and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1946.  After high school, she
got a job with the telephone company in North Hibbing, where she worked until starting her family.

Madonna married Chester Danich, and they spent 62 years together until his passing in 2013.  She was a wonderful homemaker, and a loving and devoted mother, and she will be greatly missed by her family.

Madonna was a long-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 8510, the DAV Ladies Auxiliary, and the Blessed Sacrament Parish.  Her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she spent many years
servicing the candles at the Blessed Sacrament Church on a daily basis.  Madonna enjoyed keeping in contact with her high school classmates and helping to organize reunions.  She also loved pet sitting her
favorite dog Bonzo.

Madonna is survived by her daughter Debbie (Clyde) of Tucson, Ariz.; son Fabian (Jeriann) of Hibbing; special nephew John (Mary) Barlet; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester; her parents John and Margaret Nehiba; her brothers Fabian, Arnold, Robert “Jimmy”, Bernard “Tuffy”, and Richard Nehiba; and her
sister Margret Barlet.

Funeral:  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 22, at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing.

Visitation:  Will be held starting at 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment:  Will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
