Margaret E. Andrican
Margaret E. Andrican, 86, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing. She was born on November 8, 1926 to Anton and Anna (Zuly) Strgar in Chisholm, MN. Throughout her life, Margaret was primarily a homemaker, but held jobs at Suburban Lanes and the Sunrise Bakery. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 1221 of Hibbing, and the Kitzville Birthday Club. Margaret was an avid bowler, she loved her flowers, gardening, cooking, baking and canning, and she loved playing bingo. Margaret was an excellent cook and was known for her unforgettable holiday dinners. She wasn’t happy unless you were eating something at her house.
She is survived by her three children, John (Fran Nelson) Andrican, Shirley Jerulle, and Susan (Wendell Adams) Schaefer, all of Hibbing, her five grandchildren, Stephanie (Jim Shevich) Turk, Brandy (Jim Kotonias) Turk, Tanya Turk, Shaun Schaefer, and Raquel (Tom) Schmelzer, all of Hibbing, eleven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a special niece, Kim Mell, Chisholm, MN., her beloved dog, Katie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Bruno Jerulle, and Eli Andrican, five brothers, Tony, Frank, Stanley, Victor, and John Strgar, and three sisters, Anne Laurich, Aggie Shega, and Helen Klakoski
Funeral services for Margaret will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 9, 2013 at the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
