Margaret M. Elj

Margaret M. Elj, 70, Nashwauk, MN, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 in the Fairview Range Medical Center, Hibbing.  She was born March 20, 1947 in Grand Rapids, MN to Richard and Kathryn Woodman.  Margaret had worked as a sales clerk for Kmart in Grand Rapids and at the Hardware Hank store in Nashwauk.  She was also a bus driver for Nashwauk Schools.  She married Wayne Elj in 1999 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Nashwauk.  Margaret’s favorite times were spending time and cooking with her family.

She is survived by her husband Wayne, her children: Todd (Jennifer) Stukey, of Wasilla, AK, Dena (Chip) Dyni of Fond du Lac, WI and Gayle (Dean) Gould of Keewatin, MN, her siblings: Richard (Vicki) Woodman of Pengilly, MN, Ken (Doris) Woodman of Blaine, MN, Judy (Ken) Gangl of Pengilly, Ron (Kim) Woodman of Buck Lake, MN, Stephen Woodman of Newalla, OK, Jim (Rhonda) Woodman of Nashwauk and Mary Beth Ross of Lakeville, MN, grandchildren: Geoffrey, Terran, Raymond III, Kevin, Casey, Courtney, Caylen, Kylee, Mia and Brooke, her great grandchildren Braiden, Brianna and Karli along with numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Kelly Zandt, brothers: Jimmy Woodman and Gary Woodman and her sister Kathy Woodman.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, Nashwauk.  Visitation will be in the church from 10 am. until service
