Margaret “Margy” J. Lenes
Margaret “Margy” J. Lenes, 76, Hibbing, died Friday; April 18, 2014 in her home. She was born Dec. 26, 1937 in Hibbing, MN to Frank and Rose Dropp. Margy grew up in Chisholm, MN and had worked at various restaurants in the Hibbing area. She and her husband Ted had owned and operated a bait store in Nashwauk for many years. In her later years Margy had worked as a bartender in Hibbing for numerous establishments, most notably the Coachman Lounge.
She is survived by her daughter Malynn (Rick) Roebuck of Hibbing, her brother Bob Dropp of Westland, MI, her grandchildren: Justin Roebuck, Jesse Roebuck, Sara Lenes Roberts, Richelle Stalboerger Goggleye, Michael Quincy and Ashley Stillwell along with 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant sister Barbara, her son Michael Lenes and a grandson Shaine Quincy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing with Steve Tomberlin officiating. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
