Margaret Mary Maloney
Age 95, of Scottsdale, Arizona went to heaven peacefully with family by her side on May 1, 2015. Prior to moving to Arizona in 1996, Margaret was a longtime Hibbing resident. Born in Chisholm, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, John (2000) and their oldest son, Pat (1988).
Known for her love of people, cooking, baking, and bridge, Margaret and her Greenhaven neighborhood friends prepared classic Range foods such as sarma, pasties, and potica. She worked at Sachs Fourth Avenue for many years, was a Hibbing General Hospital volunteer, and an active parishioner and volunteer at church.

Margaret is survived by her children, Jim Maloney (Lorie Wilkenson), Peggy Maloney Cotter (Jeff), Jeanne Maloney (partner Lorrie Presby), daughter-in-law Marsha Maloney (Tony), and her grandchildren: Jason Maloney, Damien Maloney, Hilary Cotter, Patrick Cotter, and Courtney Cotter (Andy Gansmoe), and also her grandchildren of the heart, and many friends in Minnesota and Arizona.
Funeral Mass is on Thursday, May 7th at 11:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, with visitation one hour before. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
A celebration of Margaret's life will take place in Scottsdale, AZ at the home of Jim Maloney on June 20, 2015.
