Marjorie P. Kruger, née Gygli, 90, beloved mother and grandmother passed from her Buck Lake home into glory on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Marge was born March 16, 1928, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to Fred and Lydia (Nass) Gygli. She grew up in Rice Lake and worked for a time as a switchboard operator. After WWII, she married her sweetheart, Ken, on May 3, 1947. They began married life in Rice Lake, then moved to the Iron Range, where Ken worked for Hanna Mining Co. Marge devoted herself to caring for their home and family and she did it so well! She was a wonderful wife, mom, and grandma. She was the best cook around and her family has many good memories that include her good food. In their later years, Ken and Marge established M & K Transportation and Marge drove the feeder bus around Buck Lake. She was always sweet natured and loved nothing more than spending time playing games with the littlest grandchild right up to the oldest family member. She did a great job raising her kids and taking care of them. She will be missed greatly! She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hibbing. Marge is survived by her children: Greg (Pam) Kruger, Sebring, FL; Sheri (John) Clifton, Nashwauk, MN; Brad (Barb) Kruger, Bagley, MN; Bruce (Jane) Kruger, Nashwauk, MN; Rick Kruger and his friend, Johnna, Key Largo, FL; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Kucko, Rice Lake, WI; sister Marilyn (Buck) Rust, Arvada, CO, and many nieces and nephews. Marge was preceded in death by her father and mother; husband of 64 years, Ken Kruger; sister Elaine Jerry of Nashwauk; and sister Dorothy Nieman of Rice Lake, WI.
A private family service is planned at a later date.
