Airborne, US Army-Korean War and later served as a MP in Korea. He returned to the Iron Range where he married Dolores Bill on Jun 29, 1957 in Coleraine, MN. He worked as a police officer in Babbitt, MN and Hibbing before becoming a wholesale produce salesman. He was a member of the VFW Post 8510. He moved to Little Canada in 1988.
He is survived by his children: Frank (Teresa) Sikich of Hibbing, Mark (Catherine) Sikich of Cottage Grove, MN, Mary Christensen of Redwood Falls, MN and Debra (John) Burton of Oak Park Heights, MN, his sister Ann Basarich of Hibbing, a brother Louis Sikich of Fargo, ND, sisters in law: Rose Wilson of San Bruno, CA and Delores Sikich of White Bear Lake, MN, grandchildren: Tony (Marie) Sikich, Frank Sikich, Christopher (Abby) Sikich and Tessa Sikich, Andrew and Rachel Christensen and Bryan and Dustin Burton, great grandchildren Leah, Tommy and Jake Sikich along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dolores, brothers: Joe, Mike, Nick and John and his sisters: infant Mary Sikich and Katherine Draves.
Funeral services will be held in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2015. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be made to the American Heart Assoc. or the American Diabetes Assoc.
