Hibbing

SIDE LAKE- Celebration of life for Marvin Lee Theisen, 53, of Hibbing, will be held from 1-4pm

Saturday October 5th at 12407 Rivers Edge Road off the Jaranson Road in Side Lake, MN.

Interment will be at the Forest Grove Cemetery in Mizpah at a later date.

He died August 30th, 2024. He was born in Little Falls to Marla and Richard Theisen of

International Falls. He graduated from International Falls High School in 1990. He married Roxie

Marie Larson on April 13th, 2002 at Candlelight Wedding Chapel in Las Vagas, NV. He and

Roxie continued their life in Side Lake, MN, where he continued to work with his father Rich at

Theisen Logging. He had numerous careers throughout his life, ending with being an equipment

operator at Range Cornice Roofing. They had two children, Brieann Rose in 1998 and Autumn

Rai in 2006, both born in Hibbing.

Marvin was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed ice fishing, hunting with his girls, riding ATVs with

friends and family, and especially wind therapy with his wife on the Harley. Marvin would say he

didn’t have many friends because he considered everyone family and he was always there to

listen and try to make others feel better.

He is Survived by his wife of 22 years, Roxie; children Brie and Autumn (Zach Umphrey);

mother Marla (Bill Anderson) Theisen of International Falls; sister Honey (Todd Poxleitner)

Theisen of Kehiller; nieces Hanna (Adam) Larson of International Falls, Hayley Lehman of

International Falls, and Gina Pullar of Albert Lea; mother-in-law Carletta Larson of Albert Lea;

and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was proceeded in death by his father Richard Theisen; grandparents Albert and Alice

Theisen, Martin and Florence Dahl; uncles Andy Theisen, Tony Theisen, Jim Reierson, and

Leroy Dahl; aunts Rose Theisen and Sharon Theisen; and brother-in-law Josh Pullar.
