Mary Kay "Wheels" Bjerga, 58, resident of Hibbing, passed away in her sleep on Monday, Sept 7th. She was born in Hibbing to Harold and Delores (Kavanaugh) "Jiggs" Bjerga, on March 1, 1957. Mary Kay graduated from Eveleth HS in 1975 and also from the Hibbing Community College. She was employed by Arrowhead Regional Corrections as a Community Service Coordinator. Her love of all things "fast" resulted in her nick name of "Wheels". Over the years she enjoyed snowmobiling, riding her Harley, fishing, boating and singing karaoke. Spending time at the lake with friends and family was one of her passions as was her Chihuahua "Chimi". She enjoyed going to the meat raffle at the corner bar and also getting together with her Cousins when possible. Mary Kay had many health challenges over the years, but she always lived her life on her terms. As many know she never shied away from sharing her opinion. She will be greatly missed. Mary Kay is survived by her Sisters, Kathy (Tim) Kemen Brooks, Red Wing, MN and Kris Kemen, St Paul, MN. Three nieces, Ashley Brooks of Des Moines, IA, Danielle and Lauren Brooks both of Red Wing and nephew, Tyler Stefanich of Los Angeles, CA, her aunt Olga Bjerga Shake, many cousins and her best friend Erland Berg of Hibbing. She was preceded in death by her Father, Harold Bjerga, her Mother, Delores "Jiggs" Kemen, her Brother Thomas Bjerga, Aunts and Uncles.
