Mary J. Brown, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Fairview University Medical Center-Mesabi in Hibbing.  She was born to Luigi and Antonia Bordon in Hibbing.  She was a graduate of the Hibbing High School.  Mary worked as a cleaner for Irathane Systems Inc. in Hibbing.  She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing, the Italian American Club, the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary in Hibbing, the Mesaba Country Club women’s league, and playing cards with the “Sewing Club”.  She loved watching her grandkids play hockey, and also went golfing, and bowling as her pastimes.
She is survived by her three children, Donnie Brown, South Padre Island, TX., Patricia Carlson, Blaine, MN., and Carolyn Siekkinen, Kelly Lake, MN., eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luigi and Antonia Bordon, husband, Donald “Buster” Brown in 1992, five brothers, Dominic, Jack, Louis, Raymond, and John Bordon, and three sisters, infant sister, Pearl Bordon, and Frances Ides, and Louise Margo.
Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00am, Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Anthony Craig will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Pallbearers are;  Mathew Siekkinen, Austin Siekkinen, John Siekkinen, Easton Siekkinen, Alan Ides, Don Brown III., Sam Buchar, and Michael Davis.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
