Mary E. Emanuel, 100, Keewatin, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Guardian Angels in Hibbing. She was born to Joseph and Katrina Musich in Hibbing on November 23, 1913 and lived in Leetonia. After her marrage to Paul Emanuel she resided in Keewatin. Mary was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of the Keewatin American Legion Auxiliary, and loved to play cards. She was a volunteer with the One on One program which was a program in which she visited with an individual patient from the Moose Lake State Hospital.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Joanne (Dean) Hakala and Dorothy Kunze both of Keewatin, 7 grandchildren, Camille Parrella, Craig Hakala, Kathi Hill, Lisa Stocco, Chris Kunze, David Kunze, and Rebecca Wilkins, 16 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and one great great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Private funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Monday, February 24, 2014 in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
