Mary A. (Kisac) Lacika, 95, a long term resident of Hibbing, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, at St. Benedicts Senior Community in St. Cloud, MN with her family by her side. She was born to Michael and Anna (Urbanek) Kisac on February 10, 1918, in Franklin, New Jersey. Mary was a long term employee at Cobb Cook Elementary School. She loved her family and particularly enjoyed picking blueberries, playing bridge, attending mass and caring for her home and garden.
Mary is survived by her four children: John (Nancy) Lacika of Minneapolis, MN, Helen (Ralph) Pennie of Afton, MN, Janet Lacika of Denver, CO, and Joan (Ralph) Schneebeli of Green Valley, AZ; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband John (1964); her son, Stephen (1954); and her parents.
Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:30am, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing. The Rev. Fr. Anthony Craig will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Wednesday. A private interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing.
