Mary Agnes Pogue
Mary A. Pogue, longtime resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing. She was born to James L. and Gertrude (Auger) Pogue in Penobscot Location near North Hibbing. She was a graduate of Hibbing High School and attended two years of college. Mary was employed with the State of Minnesota with the Attorney General’s office, retiring after 50 years of service. Mary loved her family dearly and was extremely close to her nieces and nephews. She loved traveling, playing the piano, and was an avid reader throughout her life.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Jerry (Monica) Erickson, Hibbing, Jim (Chris) Prepodnik, Champlin, MN, Sue (Mike) Nelson, Hibbing, Peggy (Ron) Larson, Side Lake, MN, Tom (Bobbie) Pogue, Chisholm, MN, and Mary (Barry) Freeman, Virginia, MN, her dear friend, Betty Winchester, Hibbing, along with her cousins, numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, two great-great-great-nieces and two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, George Pogue, sister, Audrey Prepodnik, and nephew, Joe Pogue.
Per Mary’s request, there will be no services at this time. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
