Mary Delores Stimac
Mary D. Stimac, 90, longtime resident of Hibbing died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Guardian Angels Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hibbing.  She was born on May 22, 1921 to Matt and Frances Mainerich in Chisholm, MN.  She was a homemaker by trade.  Mary entered into the Sacrament of Marriage with Zvanimir “Chuck” Stimac on October 27, 1945.  She was a former member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, and currently the Hibbing Catholic Community.  She was very active in her church.  Mary volunteered her time, cooking and putting on events at St. Leo’s.  She loved to sing, dance with her husband Chuck, and enjoyed gardening as a pastime.
She is survived by her brother, Walter (Bernice) Mainerich, Chisholm, MN., and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Zvanimir “Chuck” Stimac in September of 2010, six brothers, Matt Jr., George, John, William, Frank, and Stanley Mainerich, and her sister, Zora Mainerich.
Funeral services for Mary will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Anthony Craig will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Saturday.   Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
