Mary Frances Strojan
Mary Frances Strojan, 89, Hopkins, formerly of Hibbing, died Tuesday September 10, 2013, at St. Therese Southwest in Hopkins.  She was born in Hibbing on Oct. 22, 1923, to John and Frances (Erjavec) Strojan.  Mary was a graduate of Hibbing High School and the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth.  She was a teacher who spent the majority of her career with ISD 701 in Hibbing.  Mary was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where she taught Sunday school classes for many years.
She is survived by a brother, John Strojan of Hopkins, MN; nieces Pamela (Rolf) Melby of Eden Prairie, Jacqueline (Steve) Colby of Deephaven, MN, and Laurie Strojan of Hopkins; a great-nephew, Colin (Elizabeth) Colby;  great-nieces Courtney Colby and Britta Melby, and a great-great-nephew, Theodore Colby.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister-in-law, Patricia Strojan.
Visitation will be Saturday September 14, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Hibbing, from 10 AM until the 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.   To leave an online message of condolence, please visit www.doughertyofhibbing.com.
