Mary Trombly, 93, Hibbing, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in Hibbing. She was born Nov. 29, 1918 in Dodgeville, MI, the daughter of Michael and Hanna Marino. She moved to Leetonia in the late 40’s where she dedicated her life to the family she loved. Her love of cooking and baking led to many feasts that included sarmas, pasties, potica, and strudels. Her first husband Charles Hogback died in 1963 and in 1970 she married Robert Trombly who died in 1983.
She is survived by her children Jeanette (Larry Maaninga) Dren and Charlotte (Hugh) Tate both of Hibbing, her step children: Roberta White and her special stepdaughter Barb Trombly both of Hibbing and Terri (Peter) Kokotovich of Mpls, MN, a brother John (Katherine) Marino of Hibbing, her grandchildren: Sherri (Don) Snidarich of Hibbing, Debbie Dren of Flagstaff, AZ, June Dren of Hibbing, Wendy (Scott) Suhonen of Hibbing, Tina Snidarich of Nisswa, MN, Lisa (Jason) Kangas of Las Vegas, NV, Tara Tilson of Hibbing, Michelle Dunham of Hibbing, Frank Trombly of Hibbing, Dan (Jessica) Trombly of Coleraine, MN and Nathan Kokotovich of Mpls, MN, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Private services are to be held at a later date.
