MaryAnn E. Rasch

MaryAnn Elizabeth Rasch age 72 of Hibbing passed away with her family by her side Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Solvay Hospice Home in Duluth. MaryAnn was born May 10, 1952, in Hibbing to Dick and Patricia (Kramer) Lee. She was a 1970 graduate of Hibbing High School. Following graduation, she enrolled at Hibbing Junior College where she received her certification as a medical lab tech. MaryAnn began her 43 year career in health care at the Adams Clinic in Hibbing. She added x-ray tech to her capabilities and moved to the Essentia Chisholm Clinic for the last 25 years of her career, retiring in 2019. MaryAnn was a consummate caregiver; she loved what she did. She also loved helping her family. MaryAnn could wallpaper, paint, and remodel, as good as any professional. She was also a talented seamstress; mending, knitting and sewing many items for friends and family. So much of her time, talent, and energy was spent selflessly helping her children, grandchildren, and friends. 

MaryAnn and her husband Tim Rasch were together for 30 years. They were married in 2006 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church following a brief 12-year engagement. They had the opportunity to see their children grow and go on many memorable trips abroad. She skillfully navigated her blended family by always providing love, understanding, and acceptance to all of us. 

She was also a member of the funeral lunch crew at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. 

MaryAnn is survived by her husband, Tim Rasch, children, LeeAnn Gargano, Steph (Tim Kilman) Gargano, Wade (Lori) Rasch, Troy (Mary) Rasch, siblings, Tom Lee, Sally (Michael) Valentini, Chris Lee, grandchildren, Lexy, Dominic, Abby, Wylder, Taya, Eva, Elle, Will, Laura, Connor, Michael, Natalie, great-grandchildren, Lennon and Oliver. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia and Dick, and brother, Tim. 

A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hibbing. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the beginning of the service at 11:00 am. 

Donations in MaryAnn’s honor may be made to the Solvay Hospice Home in Duluth or Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Hibbing.
