Maureen Sharon Garrity, 69, Hibbing and Nashwauk, died on Friday September 28, 2012 at Cornerstone Villa in Buhl, MN. She was born in Hibbing on October 24, 1942 to Edward and Lillian Garrity of Hibbing. Maureen had been employed at the Hibbing K-Mart store for over 20 years. She was a member of the Blessed
Sacrament Catholic Church and had lately attended St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church after recently moving to Nashwauk.
She is survived by her children, Richard Werth (Karen Royce), St. James, MN; Dale (Linda) Werth, Virginia, MN; Darlene Nowak (Al Nickila), Nashwauk; and Linda (Scott) Nelson, Park Rapids, MN, thirteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her siblings: Eddie (Jeannie) Garrity of Chesapeake, VA; Kathy (Wally) Hutchinson of Ennis, MT; John (Juanita) Garrity of Corinth, TX; Geri Thomas of Duluth, MN; Patrice Vittori of Hibbing; Pat (Barb) Garrity, Bill (Denise) Garrity, Terry (Jane) Garrity, all of Hibbing. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Monday, October 1, 2012 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the visitation in Church starting at 11:00 am. Arrangements are with the Dougherty funeral Home
