Maxine Lillian Savage

Maxine Lillian Savage, 89, Hibbing past away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday May 7, 2014.  She was born in Hibbing to Jesse and Minnie McMurtrie on December 16, 1924.  She enjoyed sewing, crafting, attending craft shows but her main love was her family.  She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Parish.
Maxine will be missed by her children, Carolyn (Roger) Kangas, Nancy (Richard) Sundvick, and Suzen Jacobsen, all of Hibbing, Robert (Robin) Savage Jr., Keewatin, Mary Lu (Kenneth) Staupe, Foxboro, Wis., and Frank (Wendy) Savage, Buyck, Minn., sisters, Carol Eslinger, Vista, Calif., and Ruth Erickson, Riverside, Calif., 8 grandchildren, Ginger (Mike) Christianson, Jennifer Sundvick, Jeff (Jennifer) Sundvick, Jody (Craig) Cox, Chad (Melissa) Jacobsen, Andy (Brooke) Staupe, Adam Staupe, and Aaron (Holly) Staupe, 14 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, and  her special friend, Harold Osborne, Hibbing.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Savage Sr., and son in law Ray Jacobsen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Brian Lederer celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be in Church one hour before the Mass.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing.
