Melissa Ann McDonald
Melissa Ann McDonald, 29, Hibbing died Monday, January 9, 2017 at home in Hibbing. She was born September 3, 1987 in Hibbing. She grew up in Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High School. Melissa loved reading, watching scary movies, the mystery of astrology, and Halloween. She also enjoyed taking care of and spending quality time with her nephews Austin, Hunter and Cody, and her niece Lila. Melissa had a very caring nature and was beautiful inside and out.
Melissa is survived by her parents Kim and Bridget (Carmody) Blum, a brother; Robert Denne, a sister; Kimberly (Nick) Maki, step-brother; Mik Blum, step-sister; Lili McKercher, nephews; Austin, Hunter and Cody Maki, nieces; Kiley Denne and Lila Maki, step-nieces; Kaya and Kathy McKercher, uncle Richard “Nooker” and aunt Tina Carmody, numerous cousins, and her loving Pomeranian Winter.
Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents Richard and Lila (Gangl) Carmody, uncle Andy Carmody whom she shared the same birthday, uncle Charlie Carmody and her loving Pomeranian Lucky who she had for 15 years.
Funeral Services for Melissa will be held at 11am on Monday January 16, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hibbing.
The Rev. Fr. Nick Nelson will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Monday. A private burial at the Nashwauk Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
