Mien Van Luong
Mien Van Luong, 60, Chisholm, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at home. He was born in Chau Doc Angiang, Vietnam on February 16, 1953, to Ngo Van Luong and Nguyen Thau Thi. Mien had worked as a police officer in Vietnam before immigrating to the United States in 1975. He lived briefly in Cromwell and then in both Hibbing and Chisholm. He had worked as a machine operator at Minnesota Twist Drill since 1977. Mien and Loan Nguyen were united in marriage in 1998 in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Loan Nguyen, of Chisholm; a son, Robert Luong, of Chisholm; a daughter, Melissa, of Cloquet; a granddaughter; his mother, Nguyen Thau Thi of Vietnam; six sisters, all in Vietnam; and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
