Mildred Novak, 93, Hibbing, died Wednesday July 24, 2013, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Chisholm. She was born in Hibbing on January 11, 1920, to Daniel and Angela Vuicich. Millie was a homemaker, wife, and mother who enjoyed playing bocce and going out with her friends. She was a member of St. Basil’s Orthodox Church in Chisholm.
She is survived by a son, Gary Novak, of Houston, TX; six grandchildren: Louis Charon, Danielle Charon, Andrea (Barron) McLeod, Katie Novak, Leslie Novak, and Erin Novak; five great-grandchildren: River Bussey, Liam Bussey, Gavin Pearson, Laek Charon, and Lacey Brooke Novak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Novak, Sr. in 2011; a son, Vernon Novak, Jr. in 1993; a daughter, Donna Charon, in 2013; and by her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday July 30, 2013, at St. Basil’s Orthodox Church, Chisholm, from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
