Minka Miriam Alajoki
Minka M. Alajoki was born and died on December 29, 2014. She was born to Joel and Riitta (Lundin) Alajoki at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  “In her nine months in the womb, she filled our hearts with joy.  In her moment on Earth, she filled our hearts with everlasting love.”
Minka is survived by her parents, Joel and Riitta of Deer River, her paternal grandparents, Robert (Diane) Alajoki, Deer River, maternal grandparents, John (Louise) Lundin, Hibbing, great-grandparents, Bob (Evie) Alajoki, Deer River, her aunts and uncles, Miriam (Pete) Kero, Hibbing, Liina (Bo) Liubakka, Minneapolis, MN, Alicia(Lorne) Wikstrom, Calumet, MN, Andy (Audrey) Alajoki, Superior, WI, Lynell (Wes) Caya, Kenosha, WI, and Meg (Shawn) Erickson, Hermantown, MN, 15 first cousins, and a host of brothers and sisters in faith.
Funeral services for Minka will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, January 2, 2015 at Deer River Apostolic Lutheran Church in Deer River, MN.  Rick Salmela will officiate.  Visitation will be from 11:00am until the 1:00pm service at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in the Lindenwood Cemetery in Deer River.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
