Miriam A. Guderian

Miriam A. Guderian, longtime Hibbing resident and formerly of Buhl, MN died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing.  She was born on July 21, 1934 to Harold and Rose (Wertz) Hollar in Beach, ND.  Miriam was employed as a LPN in the 1960’s and early 70’s at Hibbing General Hospital.  She later worked as a Dental Assistant for the Perell’s at Dental Health Service in Hibbing.  She was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hibbing, and when residing in Buhl, she belonged to First Lutheran Church of Buhl.  She enjoyed dancing, and especially loved her poker slots.

Miriam is survived by her children, step-daughter, Lori (Fred) Dufault, Hibbing, daughters, Cathy (Dwight) Light, Embarrass, MN, Cindy (Steve) Vesel, Hibbing, MN, and Sherry (Bob) Riddel, St. Michael, MN, two siblings, Timothy Hollar, Hamilton, MT, and Jeanette (Tom) Schroeder, Wausau, WI, 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, Diane Hollar, Theresa Hollar, and Darlene Hollar, and many nieces and nephews, caregivers Shannon, Lelyn, Leah, and family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Guderian, parents, Harold and Rose (Wertz) Hollar, and three brothers, Bill, Jack, and Ron Hollar.

Funeral services for Miriam will be 10:00am, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.   Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Saturday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
