Muriel A. Kirsling, 93, lifelong resident of Hibbing died Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN.  She was born on April 11, 1919 to Charles and Mildred (Sullivan) Coss in Hibbing.  A homemaker by trade Muriel was a part of the 1st settlers in North Hibbing.  She was a graduate of the Hibbing High School.  Muriel was a member of the Hibbing Catholic Community, a past president of the Widow & Widowers Club, a former member of the Degree of Honor and the St. Leo’s Catholic Church Circle in Hibbing.
She is survived by her two sons, Edward (Grace) Klancher, Rio Dulce, Guatemala, and Richard (Sharon) Klancher, Pengilly, MN., sister, Millie Clemens, Hibbing, MN., her three grandchildren, Zachary Klancher, Williston, ND., Tony (Lisa) Klancher, Anchorage, AK., and Joseph (Christy) Klancher, Red Wing, MN., eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred (Sullivan) Coss, her first husband, Tony Klancher, her second husband, Louis Kirsling, three brothers, James, Charles, and William Coss, and her sister, Cecilia Scipioni.
Funeral services for Muriel will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Brian Lederer will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be held from 10:00am until the 11:00am funeral Mass at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
