Muryl Claude Danks

Muryl C. Danks, 83, Hibbing died Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at St. Rafael’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Eveleth, MN.  He was born on May 8, 1935 to Claude and Marie (Bokovoy) Danks in Bismarck, ND.    Muryl entered the Sacrament of Marriage with Rose Marie Cavanaugh on June 6, 1959 in Velva, ND.  He was a former music teacher for schools in North Dakota and Oregon.  He was later employed as a mining engineer analyst for U.S. Steel.  Muryl was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing and a founding member of Radio Controlled Flying Club of Hibbing.  His favorite pastime was flying remote controlled airplanes.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Danks, Hibbing, son, Douglas Danks, White Bear Lake, MN, daughter, Amy (John) Riipinen, Nashwauk, MN, and Michael (Ashley) Danks, Hibbing, sister, Claudia (Boyd) Roberts, Minot, ND, seven grandchildren, Madeline, Aden, and Aaron Danks, Jay, Lauren, and Benjamin Riipinen, and Allison Danks, and his many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his son Mark Danks, daughter, Paula Danks, and his parents, Claude and Marie Danks.

Funeral services for Muryl will be 11:00am, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hibbing.  The Rev. Fr. Beau Braun will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the 11:00 am funeral Mass at the church on Wednesday.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery of Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
