Myron W. Snyder, 71, Hibbing, died Wed. July 3, 2013 in his home. He was born March 7, 1942 in, Crystal, MN, the son of Eugene and Mildred Snyder. Myron had lived in Virginia, MN where he met Donna Gerulli. They were married on Sept. 1, 1962 and lived there for a short time before making their home in Hibbing. Myron worked at the Pierce Mine and at Butler Taconite but was a long time employee of National Steel. Besides spending time with his family Myron enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and camping, but especially loved taking his dog Tippy to the park.
He is survived by his wife Donna, his children: Tammy (Jeff) Ostrander of Hibbing, MN, Cheryl (Roland) Lott of Lakeville, MN, and Vicki Church of Hibbing, a brother Harlan (Eleanor) Snyder of Anoka, MN, a sister Donna Mae (Orville) Oihus of New Hope, MN, his brother in law Sonny (Robin) Gerulli of Lakeland, MN, his sister in law Delores Robison of Hibbing, 8 grandchildren: Chad Ostrander, Kevin Ostrander, Terry (Sena) Ostrander, Holly Lott, Anthony (Veronica) Lott, Corey Lott, Magan (Justin) Schoeben and Cody Church, 7 great grandchildren: Jack, Melina, Anthony Jr., Kadynce, Aubrey, Easton and Tucker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Ed Lemieux, a brother Loren, a sister Karen Haalopa and a great grandson Gavin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing. The Rev. Tim Maki will officiate. Visitation will be from Noon until service time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
