Nichol A. Pollary
Nichol A. Pollary, 38, Hibbing, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth. She was born Oct. 30, 1974 in Mohall, ND, the daughter of Larry and Judy Hamel. Nichol attended the Univ. of Minnesota-Crookston and then obtained her medical secretary degree from Minot State University. She met Derek Pollary in 1995 and together, they moved to Hibbing in 1997. They were married on Sept. 21, 2002. Nichol had worked for the East Range Clinic in Virginia, MN, the AEOA, Northwest Airlines, the Prebich Law Office and for the last 5 years had worked for the Range Credit Bureau. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Chisholm, where she also taught Sunday school. In the community she was a basketball coach for 3rd and 4th graders in Hibbing and in her free time, she enjoyed the Hibbing Recreation volleyball leagues, but most of all, she loved spending time with the family she loved camping and being outdoors.
She is survived by her husband Derek Pollary, her daughter Taylor, her father Larry Hamel of Surrey, ND, brothers: Brad Hamel of Surrey and Donald (Jennifer) Hamel of Minot, ND, nephew Brandon Hamel and niece Emily Hamel both of Minot, her parents in law: Sharon and Donald Pollary, a sister in law; Kimberly (Otto) Maki of Chisholm, MN, her maternal grandfather Harold Keith of Mohall, ND and her dog Rascal.
She was preceded in death by her mother Judy Hamel, maternal grandmother Alvina Keith and her paternal grandparents Edmond and Ellen Hamel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday; Feb. 21, in the Grace Lutheran Church, Chisholm, 508 NW 9th St. Visitation will be in the church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing. Pallbearers are: JR Albrecht, Bob Pahule, Nick Eskelson, Joe Hanegmon, Otto Maki and James Rahnasto. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home.
