Nicholas Robert Lucia
Nicholas R. Lucia, 32, Hibbing, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at home.  He was born on September 27, 1980, to Patrick and Karen (Riipinen) Lucia in Hibbing.  Nick enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for four years.  He served one tour in Iraq as an Airborne Combat Engineer.  Most recently, Nick was stationed at Ft. Bragg in North Carolina.  He was employed with Irathane Systems in Hibbing.  Nick enjoyed hunting and most of all, spending time with his children and girlfriend.
He is survived by his three children: Thomas William Lucia, Maggie Mae Tisdel, and Melissa Mae Lucia, all of Hibbing; his parents, Patrick and Karen Lucia, Hibbing; his longtime companion, Sadie Mae Tisdel, Hibbing; two brothers: Matthew (Christi) Lucia, Colorado, and Joseph (Denise) Lucia, Minneapolis, MN; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Jean Riipinen, Buck Lake, MN; and many aunts, uncles, and his cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Pierino and Natalie Lucia.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-7pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
