Norbert Vincent Milanowski
Norbert Vincent Milanowski, 81, Las Vegas, Nev., died Friday, February 14, 2014 at his home.  He was born in Grand Rapids, Mich. to Alexander and Josephine Milanowski on April 16, 1932 and graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree.  He was a veteran, having served in the US Army. He married Marlene Putzel in Hibbing on September 17, 1960.  Norbert was employed as a Forester with the US Forest Service mainly in the Western Region of the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene (Putzel) Milanowski, children, Joseph (Cynthia) Milanowski and Mary Milanowski both of Las Vegas, and Charlene Milanowski, St. Paul, MN, his brother, Thomas (Mary) Milanowski, Grand Rapids, Mich., 2 grandchildren, Alexandra and Sophia Milanowski and many nieces and nephews. Norbert was preceded in death by his parent, three brothers, Alexander, Stanley, and Theodore Milanowski, and sisters, Gertrude Milanowski and Dorothy Rice.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, February 22, 2014 in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Hibbing with the Rev. Fr. Gabriel Waweru celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial.  Visitation will be in Church Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.  Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home, Hibbing, MN.
